Just enjoyed a holiday at this cottage with our Gransons aged 14 and 11. The cottage was spacious, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. Everything you could possibly need was supplied including a very generous welcome pack, nice wine too! The boys found plenty to amuse them, outside, and during showers, inside too. We didn’t meet the owners as we arrived later than planned but they checked that we had everything we needed and were understanding when we contacted them to report an “oops” moment.
Contributed greatly to a stress free relaxing stay for young and not so young.
We absolutely adored this cottage. 50 yards from the sea and everything you could wish for.
We arrived after a very weary journey from South Wales to be presented with an immaculate and beautifully decorated cottage. Welcome pack in the fridge which consisted of everything needed to make a nice sandwich, some white wine to aid with stress levels and lovely shortbread biscuits and milk, tea and coffee which lasted us the entire break.
Beds were extremely comfortable and the shower and bathroom is fantastic!
Playstation 3 and piano kept the kids entertained when we weren’t out exploring or fishing off the pier. The village itself is beautiful and quiet and locals all very friendly.
I would whole heartily recommend a stay here and we will definitely be back again soon.
This was our third visit to Harbour Cottage, staying for two weeks. We were blessed with wonderful weather which made our stay even more perfect. The cottage is clean, very comfortable and very well equipped. We slept well, thanks to the peace and quiet and a comfy bed. The shower is great too. The toys were a real bonus when my partner’s grandson visited, as were the DVDs. The location of the cottage is excellent, right on the harbour. Sitting out enjoying a coffee or glass of wine watching boats come and go. Local people are very friendly and pleasant. The owners, Ishbel and Ian are lovely people, helpful and informative. We had a very nice welcome pack. We enjoyed visiting old haunts around Finechty, fishing in and off the harbour, lots of walks along the coast trail, visits to Lossiemouth and Spey Bat and our pilgrimage to Baxter’s for a pancake! All in all a great return to Finechty, in a great cottage.
Property perfectly located on harbour’s edge. Impeccably presented, clean and comfortable. Generous welcome pack which was most appreciated. Ideal for a relaxed stay or for guests who wish to avail themselves of the many attractions the Moray coast has to offer.
