Findochty, (known locally as 'Finechty'), is situated on the beautiful unspoilt Moray Firth Coast of North East Scotland. It is the most picturesque of villages, with brightly painted cottages clustered round the harbour.

The Moray Firth Coast, famous for its wildlife (including dolphins and seabirds) enjoys long hours of sunshine in the summer months, and is often among the warmest places in Britain.

This is the ideal location to base your Scottish cottage holiday; whether your interest is in walking, cycling, wildlife,

small beach 20 metres from cottage

Local facilities include; pub/restaurant, (which also does take away food), small supermarket (with DVD rental), post office, chemist, library, Churches and hairdresser.

View over harbour/marina from behind cottage.

The village is surrounded by beaches and walks; both to the east and the west. You can explore the cliffs, studded with caves; admire the striking rock formations; or simply walk along the beaches - golden sands stretch for miles along the length of the coastline.

West of the village lies the 18 hole Strathlene golf course which caters for day members. This is only one of several golf courses in the area.
